Fundraising: Special Occasions
Themed Fundraising Activities For Special Occasions

Take advantage of any festivities; it’s never too late to use a special occasion (e.g. Valentines Day) for some great ideas to boost your online fundraising. Here are a few ideas of things you can do!

Wine Tasting

Host a wine tasting by partnering with a licensed wine dealer.

Charge admission for the event and offer a selection of wines for attendees to taste, along with commentary from an expert.

Ask a local market to donate some fine cheese and chocolates to complement the wine.

At the end of the event, you could offer wines for sale at a discount.

Cake Sale

You can sell all sorts of goodies themed to your special occasion – and rope friends in to make their favourite sweets and cupcakes!

You could also sell other items in the theme of your special occasion –  e.g. for Valentine’s Day; heart-shaped lollies, love balloons, teddies, candles etc.

Try selling the goodies wrapped in festive paper for people to give to their loved ones.

Raffle with top prizes

With any of these ideas, you may also want to consider obtaining prizes and offering a fundraising raffle as part of your event.

Reach out to a hotel for a weekend getaway, ask a spa to donate a massage, or ask local restaurants to provide gift certificates.

You could even create a gift basket full of donated products.

Got a great tip you’d like to share? Let us know and we may feature your idea here on the Team Starfish blogsite!
